    Athlete of the Month - Jan 2001 - Feb 2001 - Apr 2001 - May 2001 - July 2001

    April 2001 - Chris Warburton

Athlete of the Month for April is Chris Warburton, who is a distance runner. Chris is one of our most senior juniors club members (or is it most junior seniors, I'm never quite sure), having been with the club since 1991. He currently holds a Club record in 800m.

    Ellesmere Triathlon - 2000
    Favorite event: 1500m Steeple Chase

Most hated event: I will try anything but I don't like 100m

Best athletic achievement: I have lots of achievements that mean a lot to me. But the most important achievement was winning the first team in 1993 in the cross-country as everyone worked as a team and every one supported each other.

Biggest disappointment: The biggest disappointment at Olympians was when Coach Andy Knott left. Also the team from 1993, Craig Williams, Mark Evans, James Roberts, Dan Jones, Neil Rochester, and Matt Williams leaving at different times.

Sporting hero: Roger Black But Why??

    Favorite food: Sunday Roast

    Most hated food: Mushrooms

    Favorite Group/Artist: Moby, Jakatta

    Favorite TV program: Sky sports

    Favorite Film: Train Spotting

What is your ambition: To run for Britain in the 1500m

    Llandudno 10 miles - 2000
What is your training schedule: I don't have a training schedule that I stick to but it is:-
Monday- Rest (I blame the Sunday Roast!!)
    Tuesday- 2 miles approx run
Wednesday- A long run (Presumably with the seniors who meet at the leisure centre?)
Thursday- Speed work/ short runs 1000m run hard with 3 min recovery 8 of them building up over the summer
    Friday- Rest
Saturday- Rest or jog few miles
    Sunday- Race or Rest

About Olympians: The club is a good club to run for. It has a lot of support from the coaches and no one is pushed by them.
